No News Is Good News...

Our first Court Hearing came and went with no word from Taiwan. Our agency said that "no news is good news" meaning that the judge did not ask for any additional information and all the paperwork was in order. YAY! One down and two more to go. We will not know when our First Ruling (next court appointment) will happen...we will just receive word after it has occurred. It could be anywhere from June to August! Essentially we will be back in waiting mode once again. NOT. MY. STRENGTH. We are praying specifically for a "speedy" judge...that his calendar will be open and he will move faster than average. Kyle and I truly desire to get Chieh Chieh home before she turns a year old. We believe the older she gets. the harder her transition will be. However, we are grateful for the excellent care she is receiving from her foster family and from the partner organization in Taiwan. She has regular health check ups by a cardiologist and a pediatrician. We received updated growth information this week. Chieh Chieh was born 5.95 lbs/19inches and is now 13.6 lbs/25.5 at 6 months. Our dumpling is petite but growing right on track. Amen! This will be a change for Kyle and me...Max was over 9 lbs at birth! We put together another care package but will have to exchange some of the items for smaller sizes. The retail therapy helps some:). Speaking of retail therapy, we purchased most of the "big ticket" items for Chieh Chieh's room. It has been a blast picking things out for a little girl. Kyle and I have gone more girly than I thought we would. The colors of her nursery will be aquas and pinks. I will post a picture when it is complete. This will be a few months as we are going to wait until our First Ruling has come in to set everything up. Max will be moving into his Big Boy room in June. His room is Star Wars themed...super cute:). Kyle is happy!
