Max: Four Years Old
Yep...Max is four and this momma has such mixed emotions. I love that he is more independent, funny, and capable...but I want my baby boy to stay my baby boy. Three still felt young and baby-like but four feels so old! My Max-Man is a joy and here are some stats:
Favorite Food: grilled cheese.
Favorite Toy: anything super hero.
Favorite Activity: puzzles, board games.
Favorite Outside Thing: riding his bike.
Favorite Book: currently Buzzle Billy on Sharing.
Favorite Show: Chuggington.
Favorite Sport: swimming.
Size Clothes: 4T/5T bottoms, 5T/XS boys tops, shoes 10.
Weight: 38/38.5lb.
Height: not sure yet.
Max is a sweet and caring little boy. He loves his sister and takes great care of her. He also loves anything that has to do with daddy. If daddy makes a funny face, Max makes a funny face...and on. Max also loves anything super hero...clothes, toys, etc. He has never seen a super hero show but he still knows all the characters. I love his passion. Max has really turned into a great swimmer and we plan to do more lessons in the spring. We are also going to do one more t-ball clinic through the Y this fall. Max enjoys these because Kyle can do it with him. We were able to celebrate his birthday in Florida with my family and also on Sunday with streamers on his door. We had a new Spiderman lunch box waiting for him after he got up. His party is in a few weeks...super hero themed of course. On the news front...Max finally kicked his paci habit. Yes, this was LONG overdue and I judge myself for it...no blame if anyone reading this is shocked:). He only used it for sleeping but it was past time no matter. He woke up on his birthday and said he was done with it...he was a big boy. We took his paci to Target and left in the toy aisle. A few minutes later...it was gone (taken by the paci fairy) and he got to pick out a new toy. I will say this week has been rough. He is not napping anymore and has had trouble sleeping at night. Poor guy. You can imagine what this is doing to his behavior. I am hoping he will get through this quickly for his sake. We have to enforce rest time which is leading to a lot of fits. I have busted out the sticker chart, Ok to Wake Owl, etc. All with mixed results. We will see how it is in a few weeks. Max starts preschool next week...T-Th and I hope he isn't a tired mess when he is there. My heart hurts for him...I am trying to be compassionate but also still expect him to obey. Parenting is tough sometimes:) but the best job in the world.
