Oklahoma!
Kyle, Max, and I visited my brother and his family (Ainslee, Caroline, Hudson, and Grayson) this past weekend in OKC. We were there for a quick visit but it was full of fun nevertheless. Andy and Ainslee are fabulous hostesses and live in a great house with lots of space. Max had a ton of fun playing with his cool, sweet, older cousins. We spent the morning at the kiddos soccer games (Kyle is dreaming of Max's future on a team), had lunch, took a nap, and then headed out to Eischen's followed by ice cream. Fun and YUM! Eischen's is a fried chicken place/bar in a small town outside the city. They serve soda, beer, fried chicken, Frito pie, and white bread. Max had his first ever root beer and you can imagine his reaction. It was like liquid gold to the kid. The next morning my bro cooked up a fabulous breakfast and we left.
I kept thinking on the way home how lucky Kyle and I are to have such amazing siblings
(four on my side and two on his). Each of them are unique, talented, and all around amazing people. It is a rare thing to have so many wonderful people in your life...I am working on not taking it so much for granted. The icing on the cake is that Max and Chieh Chieh will always have an abundance of family who love them.
