Spring has been filled with family and friend events. Over Spring Break, my brother Andy and his family visited Dallas. We had a great time with them at the Dallas World Aquarium, Arboretum, and celebrating Andy's birthday at Blue Goose. Of course Max loved the attention he received from his cooler older cousins Caroline, Hudson, and Grayson. My favorite moment was watching Andy make Max laugh hysterically by pretending to pull a small toy out of his nose. Good times!
We celebrated Easter with both sides over the past few weekends. Max had a blast coloring eggs, going to the arboretum, hunting for eggs, and playing outside with his cousins and friends. I adore watching him interact with the other kiddos in the family. They love each other so much already! It is truly precious. One particular family event was centered around sending Will, Jenny, Liam, and Carli off to Branson, MO. Will was hired as the youth pastor of Kimberling City First Baptist. We miss them dearly already but know that this is a great opportunity for them as a family. I believe they will bless those around them and be blessed in return.
Overall while I am grateful for all the fun filled family events, I am most grateful for the meaning of Easter. I am in awe of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. He knowingly and willingly died a humiliating and brutal death for mankind. Though I fall short daily, He loves me still. Thankful.
