Official Travel Itinerary

We received our official travel itinerary today from our agency! Basically our whole trip is planned out...flights, hotel, sight-seeing, immigration appointments, and most importantly our "Gotcha Day" with Miss Cora. We cannot wait to meet her and learn about her culture. We have a jammed packed trip so we are even more grateful for our facilitator Mr. Yeh who will be taking us everywhere. We leave on Friday morning! Prayers for a safe and smooth trip our always appreciated:) and even better prayers for Cora and her family in Taiwan. Below are some snippets from our itinerary. Looks like it is going to be an experience of a lifetime! Friday, August 17, 2012 10:35 am: Depart DFW to SFO via American Airlines Saturday, August 18, 2012 10:00 pm: Arrive at TPE via EVA Airways, flight #27. Mr. Yeh will meet you upon your arrival and transport you to the hotel where you will stay. Sunday, August 19, 2012 13:00 pm: Your facilitator will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you for a day of sightseeing at: The Handicraft Center and tour the Holiday Flower and Jade Market. Monday, August 20, 2012 9:30 am: Your facilitator will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you for a day of touring at Wu-Lai Village. And a tram ride. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 11:00: Your facilitator will meet your family at the hotel lobby and escort you to New Hope to meet and pick up your child. 1:30 pm: New Hope Visit- Meet staff, tour building, depart for foster family’s home to pick up your child. You will return to New Hope’s office and go to the baby store to purchase any necessary items before departing Taichung. Return to hotel after picking up child (should arrive back early evening.) Wednesday, August 22, 2012 8:40 am: Your facilitator will meet your family at the hotel lobby and escort you to AIT. 9:00 am Visa interview appointment with AIT. 11:30 am: Your facilitator will pick up your family up at the hotel and take you to touring at Martyrs’ Shrine, Grand Hotel, and CKS Shilin Residence. and take you to retrieve your child’s visa at the AIT office. 7:00 pm Visit Night markets where you purchase baby clothing and a schroll with your child’s name on it. Thursday, August 23, 2012 9:00 am: Your facilitator will take your family for an afternoon at Keelung Buddha Statue, Yehliu Park, and Queen’s Head. 4:00 pm Your facilitator will meet your family at the hotel lobby to assist with checkout and take you to the airport for departure. 7:20 pm: Depart TPE to LAX via EVA Airways 12:14 am: Arrive at DFW. HOME!!!!!
