Dr. Update

Miss Cora and I have become experts at the Dr. office. We have been to at least two to three appointments a week since we have been home. Last week, we went to the GI and geneticist and this week we have been to radiology and will go back to the GI. Our little girl is a TROOPER! I am amazed how much Cora has endured this month and still manages to smile each day. Essentially Cora's doctors are trying to pinpoint the reasons behind her GI issues and eating problems. How much is physical verse learned verse sensory? We got great news at the GI today...her colon looks normal! In addition, her geneticist is very optimistic that there are no major genetic conditions driving her VSD and GI problems. We are going to do some testing just to be safe. This Wednesday the GI will be performing a swallow study with a speech therapist present to determine if there are issues with her throat and esophagus. From there, we will start eating therapy and possibly more tests. It all sounds a little scary but I am just so grateful for all the things that have checked out healthy. Cora has really settled in as a Scott:). She is sleeping well, smiles a ton, and loves her toys. Kyle and I see a marked improvement in her physical strength and overall development. Our favorite new thing is when she makes this sound like a little gremlin. It is just too cute! We are so proud to be this little girl's parents!
